First-year students of the Institute of Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technology visited the Rubizhne City Museum excursion “Memorable places of the Luhansk region, which reflect the heroic struggle of the Ukrainian people for the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine.”
In mid-October, three large holidays are celebrated in Ukraine at once – the Day of Defender of Ukraine, the Day of the Protection of the Holy Virgin and the Day of the Ukrainian Cossacks. To these holidays, an excursion “Memorable places of the Luhansk region, which reflect the heroic struggle of the Ukrainian people for the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine,” took place in the Rubizhne city museum. Also, students of the Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technologies had the opportunity to learn about the hall “Rubizhne – a place in the sand” and the thematic exhibition “Your Pride, Luhansk Region!”
Students listened attentively about the development of the city of Rubizhne and the main milestones of its development. They learned a lot of new and interesting facts about the development of the Cossacks in the territory of the Luhansk region, about the struggle of the Ukrainian people for freedom.
At the end of the excursion, young people were told about outstanding residents of the Luhansk region, namely: Boris Grinchenko (Ukrainian writer and lexicographer), Volodymyr Dahl (doctor and linguist), Andrii Yevremenko (marshal), Mykola Rudenko (Ukrainian writer, philosopher), Ivan Chumak (sculptor), Illia Ovcharenko (sculptor), etc.
This meeting with the history of the native land is over, but there are still many opportunities for students of the Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technology to learn more about the events of the past.
