“Autumn in Starogorod”

Staff and students of the Institute of History, International Relations and Socio-Political Sciences took part in the art and tourism festival “Autumn in Stargorod”.

On October 20, there was an art and tourist event “Autumn in Stargorod” based on the works by Ilya Ilf and Yevgen Petrov. Staff and students of the Educational and Research Institute of History, International Relations, and Socio-Political Sciences of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University took an active part in the event.

The participants showed a scene from the film “The Twelve Chairs”, namely, Bender’s wedding and “Escape from Paradise”. Ostap Bender is the main character (or rather, the anti-hero) of Ilya Ilf and Yevgen Petrov’s novels “The Twelve Chairs” and “The Golden Calf” – a crook and adventurer, a “great combinator”, “an ideological fighter for banknotes”, who knew “four hundred relatively honest ways weaning (withdrawal) of money. “

The audience’s laughter and applause accompanied the action; the audience danced along the actors who performed the lively dancing.

After the holiday there were many people who wanted to take a photo with the participants of the action, especially the children were active.
