European Powerlifting Champion

The master student received a gold medal at the European Powerlifting Championships.

At the European Powerlifting Championships, which was held in Hamm, Luxembourg, the master student majoring in “Physical Culture and Sports. Sports” (Educational and Research institute of physical education and sports) Kostiantyn Musienko, Master of Sports of Ukraine, World Class, member of the national team of Ukraine showed an excellent result and became the champion of Europe. From the second attempt, he became unreachable for his rivals, lifting 292.5 kg in the bench press.

After receiving the gold medal, Kostiantyn made an attempt to surpass the world record in this exercise. Only a few millimeters were not enough for the European champion to fix 311.5 kilograms.

As a result, the men’s national team of Ukraine won the first place in the team competition!

Congratulations to the Chairman of the Powerlifting Federation of the Luhansk region, the head of the Department of Sports Disciplines Serhii Galych, as well as the coach Serhii Fedorenko on the successful performance of the student-athlete at the European Championship!
