Women’s teams began the competitions

After the men’s futsal tournament, the women’s teams representing the university structural subdivisions came to the sports field.

These were two teams from the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, teams of the Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Social Communications, the Faculty of Natural Sciences, the Institute of Commerce, Serving Technologies and Tourism, the Institute of History, International Relations and Socio-Political Sciences, the Institute of Economy and Business as well as the teams of the Starobilsk Humanitarian and Pedagogical College, the College of LTSNU, and the Starobilsk Branch of the Regional Center for Vocational Education.

At the first stage, the teams fought for the victory in groups, and then the winners of the groups already entered the fight for the commemorative Cup of the University Administration.

In group “A”, the draw brought together two teams of the IPP (junior and senior students) and the experienced team of the Starobilsk Humanitarian and Pedagogical College. The College teams won both teams of the IPP with the same score of 1:0. The IPP teams dispersed peacefully with a 1:1 draw.

In the group “B”, the team of the College of LTSNU was considered the favorite. Their starting five players was also experienced, who had already played in similar tournaments. The team in the first game defeated the RCVE with a score of 3:0, and later it defeated the FUPSC with the score of 2: 1.

The match between the RCVE and FUPSC ended with a score of 5:2, it was the most effective match of the tournament.

The Group “C” included four teams and the two best ones reached the final. The best of all in the group were the girls from the IEB, who beat their opponents from the FNS with the score of 3:0, the ICSTT – 3:0 and the IHIRSPS – 3: 1. The team of the ICSTT finished second.

The final games began with a match, where the teams of the SHPC and the ICSTT. The College team won with the score of 3:0.  

The teams of the College of LTSNU and the Institute of Economy and Business played in the second final match. Last year, these teams also played at this stage of the tournament, and then the College won with a minimal advantage.

The current match was tense and in most of the time, the teams did not open the scoring. The winner was determined after breaking through a series of six-meter shots. The team of the College won with the score of 2:1.

In the match for the third place, the “economists” outplayed the ICSTT players with the score of 2:0.  

In the final match of the teams of the College of LTSNU and the Starobilsk Humanitarian and Pedagogical College, the fans saw only one goal. Viktoria Krikunova scored a goal on the ninth minute, but the intrigue of the match was untill the final whistle. All the players sparing neither themselves nor the opponent, sought only to win. The final whistle of the referee recorded the result of the match 1: 0 in favor of LTSNU College.

At the closing ceremony, the Rector Serhii Savchenko presented the Cup and Diploma of the University Administration to the team of the LTSNU College as a winner of the competition. Team winners received certificates. A pleasant surprise awaited all participants in the final four; each team received a sweet prize. They were handed over by the Director of the Institute of Economy and Business, Valerii Khmel, acting director of the SHPC Olena Krutko, Deputy Director for the Social and Humanitarian Work of the ICSTT Mykhailo Chumak, and Deputy Director for Production and Training Work of the LTSNU College Alina Beshkinska.

Karyna Goidenko (SHPC) became the best scorer of the tournament, and Viktoria Krikunova (the College of LTSNU) was named the best futsal player.
