The sports season ended in victory

The sports season of summer sports in Starobilsk is nearing completion.

Thus, a streetball tournament recently took place, which was dedicated to the closing of the 2018 sports season. The organizer of this tournament, as well as all streetball tournaments, was the sports club “Spartak” (the chairman is Oleksii Poluliashchenko).

The six strongest teams of Starobilsk city and streetball players “N-one” from Novopskov city fought for the Memorable Cup. First, the teams played in groups, and then four teams played the championship. Successful games of streetball players of our University in the group got them the opportunity to play in the final.

In the semifinal game, our streetball players composed of Dmytro Karpenko, Oleksandr Kulachko and playing coach Yevgen Reshetilo met with “N-one” team. From the first minutes of the game, our team dominated on the court and quickly took the lead 12:4, and when there was 7 minutes left to play, Kulachko was injured and left the court. Our team remained in the minority and managed to bring the fight to victory, winning with a score of 13:11. In the final, our streetball players played against the “Blacks” (Starobilsk). As in the previous game, our players dominated on the court and won with a score of 15:4. The team was awarded with a Cup, a Diploma, medals and a money prize for winning the tournament.
