Visit of honored guests

A joint meeting of the Presidium of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine and the University Academic Council was held at LTSNU. 

On the eve of the Day of the Defender of Ukraine, our institution was visited by honored guests, distinguished scientists, members of the Presidium of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine A.I. Lyashenko, S.A. Sysoieva, I.D. Bekh, as well as the President of the NAPS, Academician, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Vasyl Kremen.

Today, teachers visited one of the structural subdivisions of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University – Lysychansk Pedagogical College, where a joint meeting of the Presidium of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine and the University Academic Council was held.

The participants were warmly welcomed by the Director of the College Halyna Minenko, who focused on the important role of the visit of honorary scientists for the development of education in the Luhansk region.

At the beginning of the event, Vasyl Kremen, President of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, awarded members of the University Academic Council with medals and diplomas: L.Ts. Vakhovsky, O.L. Karaman, V.F. Drel, V.V. Lesnova, O.S. Menylenko, G.N. Minenko, D.V. Uzhchenko, O.N. Tsalapova and Ya.I. Yurkiv.

After the awards ceremony, the Chairman of the Supervisory Council of LTSNU made a report. Kurylo spoke about the history of the University, the main achievements of its teachers and students, as well as the prospects for further development.

The report “Reforming education at the regional level” was made by the Director of the Department of Education and Science of the Luhansk Regional State Administration Yu. V. Stetsyuk. In his speech, he told that our education is competitive, because our students and teachers participate in competitions at various levels: regional, national and international.

The President of the APS of Ukraine Vasyl Kremen spoke about the modernization of education in the context of civilizational changes. He noted that we must change education, strengthening some of its functions, and also that another task of education is to educate the patriot of our country.

The Member of the Presidium of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Academician-Secretary of the General Secondary Education Department O.I. Liashenko made a report “Modernization of the content of education in the New Ukrainian School.” Oleksandr Liashenko noted that education should have an integrated course so that the child sees a complete picture of the world.

For 15 years, on the basis of our University, the Research Center for Social Pedagogy and Social Work of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine has been operating as a structural subdivision at our University (the Department of General Pedagogy and Philosophy of Education). Therefore, in the framework of the joint meeting of the Presidium of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine and the University Academic Council, a joint meeting of the Center and the Branch was held.

The Rector of our University Serhii Savchenko spoke about the progress of research work on the topic: “Socialization of children and youth in the east of Ukraine in the context of the hybrid war in the Donbas”. He expressed sincere appreciation to the scientists for the visit to Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, as well as a significant contribution to the development of the library fund, including 250 copies of scientific, educational and teaching pedagogical literature.

Serhii Savchenko presented the results of the research paper and the monograph “Socialization of the Person in the Conditions of the Hybrid War in the East of Ukraine”. So the first collective work of scientists of LTSNU was a collection of research papers “Hybrid war in the east of Ukraine in an interdisciplinary dimension: sources, realities, prospects for reintegration”, published in 2017. This study has both social and academic significance, since it helps to draw the world attention to the tragedy of the 21st century, which Ukraine suffered as a result of the military and informational aggression of the Russian Federation.

Academician-secretary of the Department of General Pedagogy and Philosophy of Education NAPS Ukraine S. Sysoieva made a presentation on the “Movement of Ukraine in the EU: expert support for ensuring the quality of higher education”, and a member of the Presidium and the Department of General Pedagogy and Philosophy of Education of the NAES of Ukraine I.D. Bekh presented the report “The spiritual and moral person as the dictates of the times.”

The Director of the Research Center for the Problems of Social Pedagogy and Social Work of the NAAS of Ukraine Olena Karaman spoke about the activities of the center in the area of ​​the Joint Forces Operation.

So, after the forced evacuation of the University in 2014, scientists formulated a new research topic: “Socialization of children and youth in the east of Ukraine in the context of the hybrid war in the Donbas”. Its goal was a scientific substantiation, development and implementation of theoretical, practical and technological foundations of the socialization of children and youth in the east of Ukraine in the context of a hybrid war in the Donbas.

Olena Karaman summed up that the long-term experience of interaction and integration of research activities of the Research Center based on Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University and the Department of General Pedagogy and Philosophy of Education of the NAES of Ukraine indicates that such experience is a reasonable and promising direction of development of national science and social practice.

At the end of the event, interviews were held with members of the Presidium of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine and members of the Department of General Pedagogy and Philosophy of Education, as well as a tour around the Lysychansk Pedagogical College.
