Rubizhne code FEST

The first day of the “Rubizhne code FEST” took place at the Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technologies.
Employees of the Institute in collaboration with the Public House NGO, and with the support of SAP, Haus des Stiftens gGmbH (HDS) participated in the Meet and Code All-European Initiative, which is based on the idea of Young Advisors, the group of advisers to the Ex-EU commissioner Neelie Kroes. Within the framework of it, they held the first day of “Rubizhne code FEST”.
October 6 in the premises of the Rubizhne Polytechnic College named after O.Ye. Porai-Koshytsia, staff of the Department of Information Technologies and Systems in collaboration with the Public House NGO and support of the RPK leadership, conducted the first stage of the Rubizhne code FEST for schoolchildren and students of the region, who are interested in new information technologies and programming.
The goal of Meet and Code is to show children and young people aged 8 to 24 the world of programming and information technology.
The program of the first day included creative presentations “How do people learn programming in Europe?” And “IT industry in Europe and do we have a place there?”, As well as a master class “How not to be afraid and learn how to program”.
The Director of the Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technologies Hennadii Mohylnyi addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. The meeting was continued by the head of the ITS Department N.A. Semenov’s lecture presentation “How do people teach programming in Europe.” The Associate Professor of the ITS Department S.A. Pereyaslavska spoke about the IT industry in Europe and the prospects for Ukrainian specialists in the European IT market.
At the end of the first half of the action, V.V. Matievsky held a lottery, the winners of which received commemorative prizes. They have become Vadim Chernukha, Nikita Lantrat, Danylo Kiryushin.
After that, a master class “How not to be afraid and learn how to program” was organized for schoolchildren. N.A. Semenov and S.A. Pereyaslavska held a quest, the winners of which also received gifts.
