Scientists of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University continue cooperation with Lodz University.

In the context of the practical implementation of the Framework Agreement on Cooperation between Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University and the University of Lodz, the Center for Scientific and Research Cooperation Poland-Ukraine was founded in 2016 on the basis of the Department of Economic Theory, Marketing and Business and the Department of Management of Universities. This is the only such kind of research educational cell in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.

With the aim of deepening cooperation in Kyiv, the founders of the Center arrived on the eve of the meeting: its chairman Mrs. Dr. Beata Glinkovskaya and co-chairman Extraordinary Professor Boguslav Kachmarek.

The Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine hosted a meeting of the Polish delegation with the Deputy Chairman of the Committee, Chairman of the Supervisory Council of LTSNU, one of the founders of the Center, Vitalii Kurylo.

The guests were very interested in the course of reforms in Ukraine, especially in higher education. It was decided to make joint efforts to improve the activities of the Center and the cooperation of universities.

The Institute of the Economy of Industry of the AS of Ukraine and the Academy of Economic Sciences of Ukraine showed great interest in the cooperation of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University and Lodz University. The bilateral framework agreement between universities has been transformed into the Cooperation Agreement between the University of Lodz, IEI, AES and LNU. The Center for Scientific and Research Cooperation Poland-Ukraine is the basis for the practical implementation of the Agreement. In addition to the regulatory and legal support for such enhanced cooperation, the Polish-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Seminar “Theoretical and Practical Problems of Management in Ukraine in the Context of Implementing the European Integration Course” was held at the IEI. Not only representatives of academic science took part in the seminar, but also representatives of business and government, experts of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and business coaches of the Kyiv-Mohyla business school.

Also, the prospects for the activity of the Branch of the IEI at LTSNU were determined, which operates on the basis of the Department of Economic Theory, Marketing and Business.

The completion of the visit of the Polish delegation was a visit to another leading center of Ukrainian science – the Institute of Agrarian Economics of the National Academy of Sciences. Polish scientists, researchers, specialists and teachers of the Department of Economic Theory, Marketing and Business of LTSNU analyzed the prospects for cooperation between Polish and Ukrainian enterprises on world commodity markets.

The first event of the Center for Scientific and Research Cooperation Poland-Ukraine in the future is the holding in November 2018 of the International Scientific and Practical Conference at the University of Lodz.
