Students of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology visited the Luhansk Regional Museum of Local Lore.
On a warm autumn day, students specializing in “Primary Education”, “Preschool Education” together with curators (I.A. Grechishkina and K.O. Sinenko) visited the Luhansk Regional Museum of Local Lore (Starobilsk city).
Future specialists learned about the history of Starobilsk, outstanding personalities who lived and worked in the city, namely I. Svetlichnyi, V. Garshin, Ye. Trostiansky. In addition, there was an ethnic composition, which demonstrates the life of the Slobozhansky region.
A lecture on the fauna of the native land was useful for future educators and primary school teachers as the content of curricula includes such disciplines as follows: “Methods of familiarizing children with nature”, “Methods of teaching nature studies”. Among the exhibits were represented owl, jay, crow, bear, wolf, marten, roe deer, etc. Students enjoyed viewing the exhibits and talking with the guide.
We thank the museum staff for the opportunity to plunge into the history of Starobilsk city.
