“Starobilsk Mile”

Students and teachers of the University took part in the track and field race “Starobilsk Mile”.

In the city of Starobilsk, since 1980, the track and field race “Starobilsk Mile” has been held annually, the founder of which was Honored Worker of Physical Culture and Sports of Ukraine, Honored Coach of Ukraine Yurii Poluliashchenko.

This year, the total number of participants was more than 300 athletes.

Students and teachers of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports regularly participate in these competitions and win prizes.

The third-year student specializing in “Physical Culture and Sports. Sports” Yulia Zhigailova in the stubborn fight took 2nd place and received a silver medal.

The senior teacher of the Department of Sports Disciplines Tetiana Polulyashchenko received a bronze medal.  The fourth-year student specializing in “Secondary Education. Human Health” Valeria Ryzhkova came to finish fourth.

The Director of the ER IPES Yurii Mykhailovych Poluliashchenko presented valuable gifts to the winners and prize-winners of the race.
