“The Future of the Forest is in Your Hands”

Students majoring in “Forestry” together with the foresters organized and held an action “The Future of the Forest is in Your Hands”.

Every year on the third Sunday of September Ukrainian forestry workers celebrate their professional holiday – Day of the Forest Worker. This year, this date fell on September 16.

Students of the Faculty of Natural Sciences majoring in “Forestry” joined this festival, which together with the foresters organized and held the action “The Future of the Forest is in Your Hands”.

Two years ago, students of the Faculty of Natural Sciences took part in the planting of pine seedlings in the Starobilsk forestry hunt. These seedlings need care. The purpose of the action was precisely the improvement of the conditions for the growth of seedlings and the planned weeding of the forest. For our future specialists it is an opportunity to communicate with real professionals in their business, to get acquainted with the technique of processing pine plantation sites, the conditions of its growth and to gain practical experience.

Holding of such actions promotes the increase in the forest areas and the ecological awareness of the society.

We wish forest workers and students majoring in “Forestry” to increase their forestry fund of Ukraine with their indefatigable and hard work.
