Entrance examinations for the postgraduate study

The entrance examinations for the postgraduate study in specialty 201 “Agronomy” took place at the Faculty of Natural Science.

Today the Faculty of Natural Sciences has a scientific galaxy of scientific agronomists, which includes Academician, Professor, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Anatolii M. Shevchenko, Professor, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Serhii V. Masliyov, associate professors, candidates of agricultural sciences Natalia Matsai, Halyna Yevtushenko, Yulia Havryliuk and others. They successfully develop scientific topics that solve the actual problems of the agrarian sector in developing measures to increase the efficiency of mineral and bacterial fertilizers; revealing the influence of methods of primary and pre-tillage on the yield of food subspecies of maize; determination of the yield of corn depending on the timing and methods of sowing and seeding rates; establishing the efficiency of the combination of mechanical and chemical measures of weed control in crops of food subspecies of corn; determination of agrobiological features of growth, development and formation of productivity of food subspecies of corn.

Our scientists are known not only in Ukraine, but also abroad. They take an active part in international and All-Ukrainian symposiums, conferences and seminars; they publish results of scientific research in professional journals and journals of the Web of Science in the agrarian sciences. In the current year, the head of the Biology and Agronomy Department, Professor, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Serhii V. Masliyov and the Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, associate professor of the Biology and Agronomy Department Natalia Y. Matzai underwent the Agroecology and Plant Growing internship according to the international program of professional development of scientific and pedagogical workers at the University of Pihe, CPR.

In addition, over the past three years, one doctoral and two Ph.D. theses in specialty 201 “Agronomy” have been successfully defended at the Faculty.

Every year the team of our scientists is enriched by master students who only dream about the scientific future and enter the postgraduate courses at our Faculty. This year at the Faculty of Natural Sciences were held the entrance examinations for postgraduate study on specialty 201 “Agronomy”.
