Participation in the Literary Meeting

Students and teachers of the Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Social Communications took part in the literary meeting “Child Meeting: Meeting with Writers and Publishers”.

The event was held in the city of Starobilsk on September 3 on the basis of the evacuated Luhansk Regional Universal Scientific Library named after M.Gorky.

Contemporary writers, representatives of children’s organizations and publishing houses gathered from all over Ukraine to talk with future teachers and journalists, discussing the problem of reading children’s literature and publishing books for children in the east of Ukraine and trying to answer the question: “What should be the book for generation z? “. The friendly team of the Faculty took an active part in the discussions.

Representatives of the publishing house “Fontan Kazok”, writers Ivan Andrusyak, Solomiya Marchenko, Bogdan Budnyi read poems, presented comics: “Smurfiki” and “Volodya”. The Director of the Khmelnytsky Regional Library for Children named after T.G. Shevchenko Valentina Chernous invited all present to visit their library in the cultural center of Podillia.

The students and teachers of our University will use the received knowledge and experience in their future work and in the upbringing of their own children.
