4.9.2018
On September 1, 2018, the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology accepted nearly 700 students into its large and united family.
The new academic year in the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology began brightly, richly and productively. There was held the thesis defense, the Academic Council, the student self-government meeting, the work planning, the hostel accommodation and the Knowledge Day.
For four years of evacuation, it has already become a tradition on the eve of September 1 to conduct pre-defense of dissertations of young scientists of the Institute. This year, Oksana Dudnik, assistant of the Department of Preschool and Primary Education, prepared a thesis on the topic: “The system of pedagogical tasks of contextual orientation in the professional training of a future teacher of primary classes” (scientific adviser is Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Prof. V.V. Zhelanova). The thesis was highly appreciated by reviewers including O.L. Karaman, N.I. Chervyakova, S.A. Bader – and was recommended for consideration in the Specialized Academic Council.
At the Academic Council of the IPP, in addition to approving plans for work in all areas, it was about the results of the admission campaign – 2018. This year, 667 people were enrolled in the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology: 366 on the bachelor’s degree and 311 on the master’s degree. Among them are 96 combatants who defended and continue to defend the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine. Therefore, on September 1, at the festive event, first-year students camped for almost the entire length of the university square.
It was a pleasant moment – awarding of students of the IPP for active and conscientious work in the admission committee, which not only provided more than 50% of its membership, but, unlike students of other institutes and faculties, reached the end of the admission campaign without leaving their jobs, providing intake of students for the entire University.
Also, the institute dance ensemble “Vivienne” congratulated the freshmen with a dance flashmob, striking the audience with beauty and plasticity.
In addition to the all-university event, curatorial hours and excursions along the territory of the university and the city of Starobilsk were held at the institute, as well as a meeting with first-year students in the assembly hall. The Director of the Institute, Doctor of Education, Professor Olena Karaman told students and parents about the history of the University and institute, the achievements of teachers and students both in their entire history of existence and in conditions of evacuation. The Deputy Director for Academic Affairs O. N. Tsalapova introduced the participants to the main provisions of the organization of the educational process. The Deputy Director for Social and Humanitarian Work Vira Pushko spoke about the living conditions in the hostel, areas of socio-cultural and educational work, system of activities in the I semester. The Deputy Director for Research V. Kizilov spoke about directions, content and forms of scientific work. Also the chairman of student self-government Iryna Maslovska talked about student life, structure of self-government bodies and encouraged freshmen to actively participate in student self-government.
So, the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology is again ready for new achievements and victories in all areas of activity including educational, scientific, sociocultural, and international.
The team of teachers and students of the ER IPP wishes Alma-mater prosperity and confident future, talented students and bright teachers, positive image and recognition, leadership in the educational space of Ukraine.
