On the air of the TV show “Theme of the Day”

The Rector of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University Serhii Savchenko took part in the live TV show “Theme of the Day”.

On the eve of September 1, Serhii Viktorovych Savchenko spoke about the quality of higher education in Luhansk region on the air of the TV program “Theme of the Day”.

At the beginning of the conversation, the scientist analyzed the features of training in the Luhansk region. In his opinion, it fully corresponds to not only Ukrainian, but also European requirements. Evidence of this is the active implementation of e-learning, which is relevant today for the world educational community.

Speaking about education at Luhansk National University, the Rector also mentioned the scientific and pedagogical potential. So after the forced evacuation in 2014, it was possible to preserve the teaching staff, which still works in the institution.

The training of young scientists is an important component of our activities. The Professor noted that graduates from different regions of Ukraine are studying at the postgraduate courses of the University, which indicates the relevance of our education among the Ukrainian community.

Finally, the Rector focused on the material and technical conditions in our institution. So, new furniture was purchased for the hostels, and soon the educational buildings will be renovated.

Teachers and Rector of the University regularly act as experts on television, comment on significant events and participate in the discussion of topical issues. This is a testament to the successful development of the University, the credibility of our scientists’ opinion for the public.
