Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University solemnly celebrated the Day of Knowledge.
Morning noise in the courtyard of the University joyfully marked the beginning of a new academic year. Teachers congratulated their students, and the students met friends and exchanged impressions of summer holidays.
“Today I’m overwhelmed with emotions, I finally met with my friends and groupmates,” – a fourth-year student majoring in Journalism Evgenia Tsapenko said. Such enthusiasm on this day was expressed by all the students of LTSNU, and the festive mood filled the walls of Luhansk National University.
The solemn event dedicated to the Day of Knowledge began on the university square. The students Bohdan Shevchenko and Pavlo Leonov solemnly brought the national flag of Ukraine and the flag of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University to the square.
Students, teachers and guests of the holiday were congratulated by the Rector of the University Serhii Savchenko: “Dear students, colleagues, guests! I congratulate you on the beginning of the new academic year! The Day of Knowledge is a holiday of youth and hope! I express sincere gratitude to the teachers and staff for their daily intense creative work. I welcome parents of our students, I wish them patience and understanding with their descendants. “
Teachers and students of Luhansk National University are making efforts to develop their native Alma Mater. Thanks to their painstaking work, a large family of our University is gaining new victories and achievements. During the solemn event, the best employees of the Admission Committee received certificates for fruitful work.
Recently, the university family solemnly sent teachers and students to the archaeological practice in the historic reserve “Olvia”. Today, at the celebration, the representatives of the Olvian Expedition told us about their impressions of this event and the finds they found.
On the day of meeting with the oldest institution of higher education in the Eastern Ukrainian region, every freshman received a badge with the emblem of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. But the most emotional moment was the solemn oath of the student. Maria Natachii and Nina Soroka on behalf of all first-year students swore to follow the covenants of science leaders, to help preserve the best traditions of the University, to protect the honor and dignity of the student.
Bright and impressive were the creative performances of our student youth. Above the university square there sounded magical Ukrainian songs that aroused the warmest feelings of unity and confidence in the future.
Celebratory celebrations came to the end, and classes will begin soon. We wish students perseverance and success in their studies, as well as we wish teachers inspiration and scientific achievements.
