Academic Council Meeting

The university hosted a joint meeting of the Academic Council and the Conference of the University Staff.

Three main issues were discussed on the agenda:

• results of the University work in the academic year 2017-2018 and tasks for the academic year 2018-2019;
• approval of the curricula and educational programs for the academic year 2018-2019;
• approval of the work plan of the University Academic Council for the academic year 2018-2019.

The Rector of the University Serhii Savchenko spoke about the results of the University work in the academic year 2017-2018 and tasks for the academic year 2018-2019.

Summing up the report, the rector outlined the priority tasks for the next academic year in educational, scientific and economic activities, focused on the prospects for the development of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. Serhii Viktorovych thanked the pedagogical team for working in difficult conditions and noted that our University will continue to win new awards and victories.

V.V. Lesnova made a report on the approval of curricula and educational programs for the academic year 2018-2019. Having heard and discussed the report of the Acting Head of the Educational Department, adjustments were made to curricula of some specialties and curricula and educational programs for the academic year 2018-2019 were approved.

At the meeting, the work plan of the Academic Council for the academic year 2018-2019 was heard, discussed and approved.
