Holiday of independence and freedom

Teachers and students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University took part in regional celebrations dedicated to the Independence Day of Ukraine.

The thousand-year history of the Ukrainian state has events that played a key role in the formation of the independence of the Ukrainian nation. August 24, 1991 forever sealed a golden page in the annals of our state. This holiday for every Ukrainian is a day of national pride and respect for the fighters for the freedom of the Motherland.

Regular participants of traditional district events were teachers and staff of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. The district celebrations began with an exhibition of the best works of masters of arts and crafts and a fair of agricultural products. Everyone was treated to delicacies, giving an incredible atmosphere of the holiday and the national traditions.

The people’s deputy of Ukraine, chairman of the Supervisory Council of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University Vitalii Kurylo, the Chairman of the Regional State Administration A.I. Garkovyi and the Deputy Chairman of the Starobilsk District Council S.A. Domarev addressed the residents and guests of the city with official congratulations. They focused on the values ​​of the Ukrainian people and noted that the historical path of the state was complex and thorny. At the end of the speech, the participants paid tribute to the memory of the fighters who fell for the independence of Ukraine and laid flowers at the memorable signs.

Continuation of the festival was the performance of amateur art groups of Starobilsk. The artists congratulated the citizens on the Independence Day of Ukraine. Each performance was filled with incredible positive, sincere emotions and a great sense of love for our native country.
