Spring Meeting

A spring week gifted us with pleasant meetings with colleagues and students at the Institute of Culture and Arts.

Classroom-based lessons were held from April 17 to April 25 at three departments – the Department of Theory, History of Music and Instrumental Training, the Department of Singing and Conducting, and the Department of Culturology, Cinema and Television Art.

ICA students went on with the academic week in the same holiday mood. Department lecturers had a great work with the students. On Tuesday, April 21 our magistrands of the Department of Culturology, Cinema and Television Art succeeded in preparatory defense of master’s works. There are especially good works of Kateryna Dunaieva and Iryna Rublova.

After Wednesday’s lessons the lecturers and students attended Slobozhanskyi Fare, plunged into the ethnic style world of famous mistress of Luhanshchyna Yelyzaveta Hlovatska.

Starobilsk Art School where individual, practical and lecturing lessons with the students-musicians were held for the whole week was full with the sounds of instrumental and vocal music and the sounds of choral singing – every day there were the rehearsals of mixed choir of ICA and the choir of extra-mural students of specialty “Musical Art (Artistic Culture)”.

This week is special due to one more thing – the students of the specialty “Cinema and Television Art” had an internship at the TV studio “IRTA” which began its activity in Starobilsk.

And in spite of the bad weather – snow and rain – our students enjoyed trainings and creative communication. We are looking forward to the next classroom-based session which will be soon – since May 17.
