The practical training of physical therapists in the Health Center “Zhaivoronok”.

The University concluded an agreement on the practice and cooperation of physical therapists in the scientific and educational spheres with the Health Center “Zhaivoronok”. The basis of a quality educational process on the specialty 227 Physical therapy, ergotherapy is practical training, which contributes to the consolidation of theoretical knowledge, the acquisition of special skills and the formation of professional competencies. Educational and production practices are an important link in the training of highly qualified specialists, ensuring their competitiveness and the possibility of successful employment.

In accordance with the educational program, future physical therapists begin to pass the practice already in the first year, so the Department of Physical Rehabilitation and Human Health of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports has established close cooperation with health and rehabilitation centers, educational institutions and medical and preventive institutions. So, in order to provide practical training for future specialists in the field of health, on the initiative of the Department, in July an agreement was concluded to pass practice and cooperation in the scientific and educational spheres with the Health Center “Zhaivoronok” (Berehove, Zakarpattia region).

The Health Center “Zhaivoronok” is a modern rehabilitation institution of the European level, located on thermal springs in Berehove (Zakarpattia region). The unique thermal pools of the “Zhaivoronok” health complex are known for their medicinal properties throughout Ukraine and far beyond its borders. The water they fill comes directly from thermal wells with a depth of 1150 m, it is not subjected to technical or chemical treatment and is naturally enriched with chlorides, hydrocarbons, sulphates, calcium, magnesium, silicon, fluorine, iodine, etc. The water temperature is 57 ° C, in thermal pools – from 34 to 42 ° C.

On the territory of the center, people with injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system (arthrosis, osteochondrosis, arthritis, articular disease, the consequences of fractures, etc.), cardiovascular, respiratory and nervous systems, metabolic disorders and hormonal disorders recover and undergo rehabilitation. The specialists of the institution, in addition to the services of balneotherapy, conduct massage, group and individual sessions of therapeutic physical training and respiratory gymnastics, provide counseling and develop individual health programs.

Cooperation with the health center “Zhaivoronok” greatly expands the possibilities of practical training of students of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports. We hope that in the next academic year the best students of the specialty 227 “Physical therapy, Ergotherapy” will practice in the modern rehabilitation center.
