Summer School of Pedagogical Excellence

From July 8 to July 14, 2018 the Summer School of Pedagogical Excellence for lecturers of higher education institutions was organized in the Irpin Conference Hall.

The British Council in Ukraine pursues its studies – the fourth consecutive year.  The event was conducted within the framework of the project “English for Universities”, a 36-hour extension of the British Council’s “CiVELT” course (total hours: 114).

This project involves 32 Ukrainian universities. From the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University”, Head of the Department of Oriental Languages ​​Natalia Volodymyrivna Fedicheva, Head of the Department of Theory and Practice of Translation Svitlana Viacheslavivna Perova and the Head of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology Olena Mykolaivna Byndas were invited.

During the study at the Summer School, lecturers were able to continue to get acquainted with modern approaches to teaching English for specific purposes and mastering the latest techniques and teaching methods in higher education institutions.

The British Council expresses its respect and plans to hold a seminar for the heads of university departments at the end of September to discuss further fruitful cooperation within the framework of the above-mentioned project.
