LTSNU in the uniRank University Ranking 2018

The uniRank  University Ranking evaluated the web popularity of our University.

The uniRank University Ranking 2018 evaluated more than 13,000 universities from 200 countries and takes into account the official web resources of universities. 171 Ukrainian institutions of higher education are represented there. According to it, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University took the first place among the universities of Luhansk region, and among the domestic universities – 15th place. Among the world higher education institutions, we have got the 4,075 position.

It should be noted that this non-academic University ranking has been published since May 2005. It based upon an algorithm including 5 unbiased and independent web metrics extracted from 4 different web intelligence sources: Moz Domain Authority, Alexa Global Rank, SimilarWeb Global Rank, Majestic Referring Domains, Majestic Trust Flow. The selection takes into account such indicators as the level of site traffic, number of active links, and flow metrics as well as the number of unique visitors and page views of the site from mobile devices and desktop users.

As reported on the official website of the uniRank, the exact formula adopted to aggregate the 5 web metrics is not disclosed for copyright reasons and to minimise attempts of manipulation from University webmasters in order to achieve a better rank.
