Championships among athletes with disabilities

The Ukrainian Athletics Championships among athletes with disabilities took place in the city of Bakhmut.
At the height of the summer sports season, many of our athletes take part in various competitions, so the combined team of Luhansk region, which included students of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports, took the first place and won 23 medals. Of these, 12 medals (9 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals) were won by students of the ER IPES.
So, the first-year student majoring in “Secondary Education. Human Health” Tetiana Ogarkova received 3 gold medals (shot put, discus and javelin throwing). The first-year student majoring in “Secondary Education. Human Health” Anastasia Pakholia received 2 gold medals (discus and javelin throwing). The fourth-year student majoring in “Human Health” Oleksii Svistun won 3 gold medals (discus and javelin throwing, and shot put).

The master student majoring in “Physical Therapy, Ergotherapy” Viktor Malyshev won a gold medal in javelin throwing. The third-year student majoring in “Human Health” Oleksandr Romanchenko received a silver medal in discus throwing and a bronze medal in shot put. The third-year student majoring in “Physical Education” Pavlo Bogatyrev won a bronze medal in discus throwing.
The Honored Coach of Ukraine, Honored Worker of Physical Culture and Sports of Ukraine Rimma Starostina trained athletes of the Luhansk region.
