Meeting of the Academic Council

A planned meeting of the Academic Council was held at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

Three main issues were discussed on the agenda:

• about the implementation of the decisions of the Academic Council in the academic year 2017 – 2018.
• about the approval of curricula and educational programs for the academic year 2018 – 2019.
• competitive affairs;
• awarding the academic title.

Nadiia Karlova spoke about the implementation of the decisions of the Academic Council in the academic year 2017 – 2018. Having heard and discussed the report of the Acting Scientific Secretary of the University, information was taken into account. The positive work was done to implement the decisions of the Academic Council by all structural subdivisions and the work of the University Academic Council in the academic year 2017-2018 was recognized as satisfactory.

Valentyna Lesonva made a report on the approval of curricula and educational programs for the academic year 2018 – 2019.Having heard and discussed the report of the Acting Head of the Training Department, it was decided to postpone the issue until the next meeting of the Academic Council.

The Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work Dmytro Uzhchenko spoke about the competitive affairs. By secret ballot, scientists were elected to the positions, which will be vacant since July 1, 2018.

Doctor of Agricultural Sciences S.V. Maslijov was also awarded with the academic title of Professor of the Department of Biology and Agronomy,

Among other things, it was recommended to print training and methodological aids, monographs, collections of scientific papers; the topic for the candidate’s dissertation was adjusted. Also they approved changes in the admission rules at LTSNU in 2018 and the procedure for filing and reviewing applications in electronic form for participation in the competitive selection in institutions of higher education of Ukraine in 2018.
