Spartakiad in Athletics

The Institute of Physical Education and Sports hosted the Spartakiad in Athletics.

Within the framework of the Open Championship of the Luhansk region in track and field athletics among the youth sports schools, sports complexes the athletics competitions were held as part of the Spartakiad of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports. The competitions were held at the sports complex “Olimp” in the city of Kreminna.

At the opening of the competition (the Luhansk Oblast Athletics Championship), a welcoming speech was made by Olga Bryzgina, three-time Olympic Champion, and deputy head of the Luhansk Lyceum with enhanced military-physical training Oleg Chekhuta.

According to the results of the competitions in athletics, the following winners and prize-winners of the competitions were awarded among the first-fourth year students of the 1-4 courses of the IPES:

The 100m run

among female athletes:

• I place – Tetiana Kopteva (14,5s.) – 1 (3) year, “Physical Training and Sports. Sports”;
• II place – Yulia Zhigailova (15,5s.) – 2 year, “Physical Culture and Sports. Sports”;
• III place – Valeriya Ryzhkova (16.3s.) – 3 year, “Human Health”.

among male athletes:

• I place- Andrii Lysenko (12,7s.) – 1 (3) year, “Physical Training and Sports. Sports”;
• II place – Mykyta Kalyta (12,9s.) – 1 year, “Secondary Education. Physical Culture”;
• III place – Ivan Kandyba (12,9s.) – 2 year, “Secondary Education. Physical Culture”.

among female athletes:

• I place – Yulia Zhigailova – 2 year, “Physical Culture and Sports. Sports”;
• II place – Viktoria Ovcharenko – 3 year, “Physical Education”;

Students of ER IPES also took an active part in the competitions as assistant judges for various types of athletics.
