Vyshyvanka Day in Poltava
21.5.2018
The students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages took part in the celebration of the Day of the Kyiv district of Poltava and the Ukrainian Vyshyvanka Day.
Already almost three years there is a process of cultural and psychological adaptation of students to conditions of life and study in Poltava. It can be noted that our students feel more confident in a new socio-cultural environment. This is facilitated by the active participation of young people in the events of the cultural and political life of the Poltava region. Their spiritual and ideological development has a clear patriotic and social orientation.
May 17, our students were participants of a double holiday – the Day of the Kyiv district of Poltava and the Ukrainian Vyshyvanka Day. Each district of Poltava is proud of its history and outstanding citizens-residents of the local territory. For example, during the holiday it was noted that the residents of the Kyiv district were surgeon Mykola Sklifosofsky, writer Ivan Bunin, artist Grigorii Miasoiedov and other outstanding figures of science, culture, art.
The Ukrainian spirit of the city holiday was created by performances of art collectives, handicrafts, beautiful embroidered clothes of all guests, sincere joy of young and elderly Poltava residents.
This is our common holiday, because we are all Ukrainians!
