Vyshyvanka Day
18.5.2018
Romance and Germanic Philology Department and the Department of the World Literature and Russian Linguistics of the Faculty of Foreign Languages had supported one of the most patriotic traditions by joining the celebration of the Vyshyvanka Day.
This holiday is quite young, but it has already gained wide popularity. Joining the celebration is simple ‒ you need to put on vyshyvanka for work or study, and that’s it! After all, vyshyvanka is not just national clothes, but it is also a kind of symbol and a charm.
Students, staff, teachers of the Romance and Germanic Philology Department and the Department of the World Literature and Russian Linguistics and their families celebrated this wonderful holiday. The Departments had supported the initiative of the Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Social Communications by taking part in the photo contest “My Family is in Vyshyvanka”. A festive photo session was held as well.
Forming the national consciousness and supporting of Ukrainian traditions is an extremely important part of the development of each person. We are sincerely grateful for the participation of the students from Turkmenistan! Congratulations!
