The Regional Scientific and Practical Conference “Integration as an educational strategy for the modernization of preschool and primary education” was held at the Department of Preschool and Primary Education.
On May 15, the Department of Preschool and Primary Education united scientists, teachers, methodologists, and practitioners of preschool education institutions for the conference “Integration as an educational strategy for the modernization of preschool and primary education”. The participants were greeted by: the Rector of the University Serhii Savchenko, the Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work Leonid Vakhovsky, the Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology Olena Karaman, the Head of the Department of Preschool and Primary Education N.I. Cherviakova.
Participants had an opportunity to talk with Olena Olegovna Linnik, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, developer of the State Standard of Primary Education (2018), who presented the conceptual idea of the New Ukrainian School, revealed the essence of the integrative approach in education, touched on the problem of continuity between preschool and primary education in conditions of modernization of education. The audience had the opportunity to ask problem questions, exchange experiences in online mode.
The long-awaited event for the teachers of the region was a meeting and interactive communication within the framework of the seminar with Natalia Gavrysh, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, employee of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine. Natalia Vasylivna opened the idea of integration in preschool education as an educational strategy of modern times, touched upon the problem of leadership of the requirements of modern society to the individual. Mastering the basic ideas of integration, the participants compiled intellectual maps, played simulated games, designed and debated. Natalia Vasylivna presented the renewed program “Sure Start”, which aroused interest among practitioners of preschool education, scientists, and teachers of the Department of Preschool and Primary Education.
More than four hours of fruitful work did not exhaust the participants at all; each of them expressed sincere gratitude to the organizers and personally to the coach Natalia Gavrysh.
