European Powerlifting Championships 2018

The junior national team of Ukraine won six gold medals and two silver medals at the European Powerlifting Championships 2018!

At the European Powerlifting Championships, which takes place these days in the European capital of powerlifting in the city of Plzen, the junior national team of Ukraine won an unqualified victory in the team competition, having won six gold medals and two silver!

It’s nice that master student majoring in “Sports” of the Department of Olympic and Professional Sports of the ER IPES MSUKK Danylo Kovalev  (coaches: A.N. Bychkov, V. Saenko) participated in this success.

The world champion among juniors in 2017 overcame dignified resistance from competitors. At this championship he won the gold medal of the European Championships and set the European record among juniors in press – 290.5 kg in the weight category up to 105 kg.

In addition, our athlete not only collected a full set of small gold medals in all exercises (382.5 + 290.5 + 320 = 993 kg), but he became the best athlete in the absolute championship!
