A dramatized concert “Memory is our conscience, our pain, our pride” was held at the University.
Seventy-three consecutive years May holidays remind us of the most terrible tragedy of mankind, heroism and manliness of people who conquered the peaceful sky for descendants. Many years have passed since the unforgettable May 1945, but today the majestic feat of defenders and liberators remains an inexhaustible source of patriotism, faithful service to their people.
Students of our University remember about the bloody events of the Second World War. Noting the heroism and unbending spirit of the Ukrainian people, a dramatized concert “Memory is our conscience, our pain, our pride” was held at our University.
The Rector of the University Serhii Savchenko addressed the veterans in the hall with a welcoming speech. “On the eve of the holiday, our hearts are beating in one rhythm. You went to victory and got it with your courage and heroism. In addition, you raised worthy sons and grandsons who rose to defend the Motherland and now defend its borders from the enemy. Time is inexorable. The Victory Day is farther and farther from us, fewer and fewer participants of those terrible events live now. Therefore, dear veterans, I wish you to meet 80th, and even 100th anniversary of the Victory! “, – the scientist noted.
Noting the courage and spiritual stamina of the heroes present at the concert, the students presented them with flowers and wished good health, inspiration, kindness and optimism.
The concert program continued with military songs performed by the best artists of the University.
Choreographic groups complemented the holiday, impressing those present with their grace and skills.
Theatrical scenes touched deeply and forced to relive those terrible times. Pain and memory, loss and hope, faith in victory and strength, love and tears – so many emotions were caused at the concert, and the sincerity of the actors made the holiday heartfelt.
At the end of the concert, the participants of the event honored the memory of those who perished in the bloody tragedy of the 20th century with a minute of silence.
On this glorious day, we remember everyone whose life was taken up by the war, bow low and pay a deep tribute to veterans who, on their shoulders, endured the hardships of war and raised the country from ruins in the post-war years. We honor those who in the rear with selfless labor brought the enemy near the rout. We remember and are proud of our people. Let everyone know that this is our victory. We won then and we will win now.
