Lecturers and students congratulated veterans

Lecturers and students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University congratulated veterans of the Second World War and presented them with food sets.

On the pre-holiday May days, meetings with veterans are gaining importance for young people. We live under a free sky, on our Ukrainian land thanks to their exploits.

On the eve of the 73rd anniversary of the victory over Nazism, lecturers and students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, with the support of the Primary Trade Union Organization, visited war veterans and presented them with food sets. Also, volunteers handed greeting cards from the Rector of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University Serhii Savchenko.

Veterans expressed gratitude for their help and support; they wished peace, harmony and prosperity for the University. In general, LTSNU congratulated 11 veterans from Starobilsk district.

“It’s hard to find words that could convey all the gratitude for the immortal feat of the victors in the most brutal war to which humanity has been subjected. We are eternally indebted to the veterans for the war-torn youth, for extreme courage, strength of spirit, self-sacrifice, which they showed in the battles for their native land. Their feat is timeless, like our boundless gratitude to all those who defended our Motherland,” – Olena Dukhova, head of the student social service sector, said.
