Day of Psychologist

A curatorial hour was held for the first-year students majoring in “Psychology” at the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology.

The mental state of a person is just as important as the physical state. In order for people to receive the necessary psychological help, the Department of Psychology of the IPP of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University produces high-quality specialists and professionals in their field.

The profession of a psychologist in the modern world is prestigious and popular as ever. It is especially relevant today in Ukraine. After all, citizens who suffered as a result of military operations in the Donbas, IDPs, servicemen, etc., need the psychological adaptation, support, assistance.

The educational hour for the 1st year students was conducted by the curator of the group Oleksii Shalnev. During the event, he highlighted the main tasks of the psychologist and the specifics of this profession.

Oleksii Igorevych suggested that students acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills that they can use during their professional activities.

“Every psychologist who advises people takes on a huge responsibility. From the personal skill and knowledge of a specialist depends largely on the result of psychological work”, – Oleksii Shalnev said.
