All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference

On April 20, the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Key Problems of Modern Germanic and Romance Philology” was held at the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology.

The III All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference was another revived tradition, which was started in the native Alma Mater. Many educational institutions supported this tradition, including Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Kyiv National Linguistic University, Oles Honchar Dnipropetrovsk National University, National Pedagogical Dragomanov University, Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, Kryvyi Rih National University, Kherson State University, National Aerospace University “Kharkiv Aviation Institute”, Chernihiv National Technological University, National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”, Kharkiv National Technical University of Agriculture named after Petro Vasylenko, University of Customs and Finance (Dnipro).

Extremely pleasant and long-awaited was the participation in the conference of Polish colleagues (I.A Surina. – Doctor of Sociology, Prof., Poland, and Anna Suhotska – Cand. of Sociology, Assoc., Poland).

The conference began with a welcoming speech by the head of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology S.A. Shekhavtsova. The reports were presented by: Kobzar E.I. (Doctor of Philology, Prof.), Plotnikova-Lisaichuk A.A. (Ph.D.), Shapovalova L.V. (Ph.D., Assoc.), Koknova T.A. (Ph.D., Assoc.). In addition, guests of the conference were the New Book publishing house, which presented modern literature of the linguistic direction of leading Ukrainian authors, which can be used during training of students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages.

After the plenary session, the sections “Comparative Studies of Romance and Germanic Languages ​​in the Polylingual Space”, “Discourse in Intercultural Communication: Verbal and Nonverbal Means of Communication”, “Cognitivistics, Translation Studies and Literary Studies” and “Modern Technologies of Teaching Foreign Languages ​​in Conditions of European Integration “. All the participants had an opportunity to discuss the reports, discuss and suggest ways of solving the problematic issues that were covered by the speakers.

The conference was held in a rich and friendly atmosphere. At the end of the work the summing-up and closing of the III All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference was held.
