In Poltava, the International conferences were held as part of University Science Days.
On April 19-20, as part of University Science Days in Poltava, VIII International scientific conference “Ukraine-China: dialogue of cultures” and VI International scientific and practical conference “Modern Trends of Oriental Studies” were held. Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages Ivan Karpenko greeted the participants.
The reports of teachers, researchers, students and undergraduates were devoted to topical issues of contemporary oriental studies, modern linguistics, methodology of teaching foreign languages and sciences related to them. In the spirit of the time sounded the issues raised in speeches on national-patriotic, civic and moral education of today’s youth in Ukraine, China and the East. Important linguistic aspects of Chinese and Japanese languages were raised in thestudents’ reports. The following issues have been discussed:
- Features and Development of Chinese
- Innovative technologies in teaching and methods of teaching Chinese language in Ukraine and abroad
- Patriotic, civic and moral education of young people in China and Ukraine
- Literary aspect of sinology
- Linguistic study of Oriental languages (Turkish, Japanese, Arabic, Hebrew)
- Originality Eastern culture
- Literature of the East • Socio-cultural and cross-cultural translation problems.
Researchers from countries such as China, Poland, and Turkey have submitted their reports to the conference.
The results of the conference were highlighted by Head of the Department of Oriental Languages Nataliya Fedicheva. According to her, the conference made it possible once again to focus on pressing issues of Oriental studies, which nowadays acquire new properties. She emphasized that the results of the conference will be published in the journal “Visnyuk LNU” and that a good tradition of holding these conferences will continue. She also wished all the participants inspiration for further research. All participants of the conference received certificates.
