Stained glass lace

Students and teachers of the Department of Physical Rehabilitation and Human Health took part in the master class “Stained-glass lace”.
On April 17, students and teachers of the Department of Physical Rehabilitation and Human Health of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports took part in the master class “Stained-glass lace”, which was held in the Kreminna district library for children in the framework of the project “Promoting the recovery and sustainable solution of problems of displaced persons and the people affected by the conflict in Ukraine”.
The event was held by the member of the initiative group “All Together” Maryna Matveichuk. The master in detail told how to use brushes and paints to turn ordinary flowerpots, glasses and plates into an exquisite stained glass. At the master class, students and teachers got acquainted with the basic techniques of painting. The most popular of them are contour, contourless, multilayered and dotted kinds of paintings.
The essence of the contour mural is that the contour is first drawn on the glass, a sketch of the future drawing is created, and then the spaces between the contours are filled with colors. The contourless technique is more complicated than the previous one, because the colors spread over the glass and the author needs to monitor the process of creating the picture carefully.
The multilayer drawing technique is that the paints are applied in several layers. This technique makes it possible to transmit the most realistic images. The dotted method is the most common technique of painting. The image is formed by a set of points made by the contour, and the hue of the picture can be changed depending on the color of the points.
Painting on glass is an interesting activity, accessible to everyone! At the end of this wonderful event, each participant received his own small masterpiece.
The Department of Physical Rehabilitation and Human Health expresses sincere gratitude to the organizers of the event – the Kreminna Regional Library for Children and Maryna Matveichuk, wishes creative success and inspiration. Thank you! It was very interesting!
