Scientific achievements of young scientists

Scientific conferences on medical, natural and agrarian sciences devoted to the 95th anniversary of the foundation of the FNS began at the Faculty of Natural Sciences.

Recently, students of the Faculty of Natural Sciences had the opportunity to present the results of their own scientific research and exchange experiences with other scientists.

The Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work L.Ts. Vakhovsky and the Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences N.Yu. Matzai came to congratulate the young researchers. They noted that the ability to conduct a scientific study independently is the key to further success for students of higher educational institutions. Student conferences are the first important stage on the way to scientific knowledge.

At the Department of Laboratory Diagnostics, Chemistry and Biochemistry, the students presented reports on topics “Methodological and Social Aspects of Modern Oncology”. The event was attended by the Head of the Department, V.V. Stepanenko, Candidate of Biological Sciences O.O. Oliinyk, Candidate of Medical Sciences I.G. Novosokoltseva and assistant N.M. Tverdokhlib. The first-fourth year students majoring in “Technology of Medical Diagnosis and Treatment” presented scientific achievements on the features of radiation diagnostics and methods of treatment of oncological diseases, modern approaches to pathoanatomical diagnostics, and also examined reconstructive operations with oncological diseases.

The chairman of the Conference, Head of the Department of Laboratory Diagnostics, Chemistry and Biochemistry V.V. Stepanenko reported on the modern scientific research of the Department.

The students majoring in “Biology”, “Ecology”, “Garden-Park Economy and Ecology” presented today the results of expeditionary studies, training field practices and coursework. The chairman of the conference was the associate professor of the Department of Biology G. O. Yevtushenko. The event was visited by the head of the Department of Anatomy, Human and Animal Physiology O. D. Boyarchuk, Associate Professor of the Department of Landscape Gardening and Ecology S.V. Petrenko, Senior Teacher of the Department of Landscape Gardening and Ecology N.V. Demidova, Assistant of the Department of Landscape Gardening and Ecology L.V. Koroletska and the assistant of the Department of Biology S.P. Lytvynenko.

Festive events for the 95th anniversary of the FNS foundation are continuing. In the coming days, the Faculty will host a contest-exhibition of flower compositions, dedication of freshmen to students, opening of the photo exhibition “By eyes of a naturalist”, opening of a geological museum, presentation of the departments, and holding a festive concert.
