“Life Stages of the FNS”

The opening ceremony of the celebration week of the 95th anniversary took place at the Faculty of Natural Sciences.

The Faculty of Natural Sciences is one of the oldest structural subdivisions of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. This year teachers and students celebrate the 95th anniversary of the foundation of the FNS.

The Faculty of Natural Sciences for 95 years passed the glorious path of formation and development. Not always this way was simple and easy, there were many obstacles and difficulties on it, but the subdivision overcomes them with dignity. Every moment of life of the Faculty is valuable in its own way for the staff and graduates of the FNS.

Therefore, on the eve of the festive event, teachers and students prepared photographs that reflect the history of formation and the current days of the Faculty, and organized a photo exhibition of the “FNS Life Stage” in the hall of the university building.

The grand opening of the event was visited by the Rector of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University Serhii Savchenko, Vice-Rector, directors and teachers of other structural subdivisions, students and graduates of the Faculty. The Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work Oleksandr Babichev addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. He mentioned the successes and achievements of the teaching staff and student groups of FNS. The Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences Natalia Matsai invited everyone to visit the exhibition, which will operate for a week.

All those present got acquainted with the photos presented at the event. Everyone could ask questions; recall the brightest moments from the life of the Faculty.

The photo exhibition was the first event dedicated to the FNS anniversary. In the coming days, the Faculty will host scientific conferences, contest-exhibition of flower compositions, initiation of freshmen into students, opening of a photo exhibition “By Eyes of an Environmentalist”, opening of a geological museum, presentation of departments, and a gala concert.
