Vocational guidance work

The vocational guidance work continues at the Faculty of Foreign Languages.

In Poltava, like throughout Ukraine, the number of school leavers is declining for the third year in a row. Consequently, the struggle of local higher educational institutions for potential applicants is exacerbated. Each university is trying to take advantage of the slightest opportunity to replenish its ranks with future students.

On April 12-13, the Faculty of Foreign Languages took part in the annual regional exhibition-presentation “Poltava Applicant 2018”. The event was attended by several hundred senior pupils, teachers, parents from the Poltava region. The Dean of the Faculty Ivan Karpenko and experienced teachers communicated with guests and talked about the conditions of admission and training, about the advantages of our University and the prospects for employment.

Recently, the head of the Department of Oriental Languages Natalia Fedicheva and her colleagues with the help of Internet technologies conducted a career-oriented press conference with students from Lysychansk Pedagogical College and Lysychansk Multi-Profile Gymnasium. Boys and girls, in addition to advertising faculty specialties, heard an interesting story of teachers about the language and culture of China and Japan, their impact on the development of modern humanity.

Still it is not known what specialties of the Faculty will be chosen, but now the youth understands: the knowledge of foreign languages is the way to the open world and to success in life.
