II place in the Student Olympiad in Social Pedagogy

A student of the IPP Kateryna Yevonova took the II place in the II stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Social Pedagogy.

For the fourth consecutive year, in the conditions of evacuation of the University, only students majoring in “Social Pedagogy” win in the II stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad and replenish the treasury of the university with the first and prize places.

This year the Olympiad took place in two stages: the university stage, in which the best students in educational institutions were selected, and All-Ukrainian stage – the final, where participants presented their professional knowledge, skills and creative work. The second stage was held from April 12 to 14, 2018 in H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University.

Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University was represented by a fourth-year student Kateryna Yevonova (scientific adviser – Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Natalia Pavlivna Krasnova) and second-year student Sabina Mishura (scientific adviser – Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Natalia Otroschenko). According to the participants, preparation for the Olympiad was very thorough and diligent. Significant support was provided by the scientific advisers, teachers of the Department, the head of the Department of Social Pedagogy Serhii Kharchenko and the Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology Olena Karaman.

The II stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Social Pedagogy provided for three rounds: theoretical, scientific (public defense of one’s own scientific research) and practical (demonstration of a fragment of a social and pedagogical event). 30 participants fought for the victory, and evaluated the work of students of 16 jury members from many universities in Ukraine. Despite the high level of preparation of all participants of the Olympiad and great competition, our student Kateryna Yevonova still managed to win the second prize. The first place was taken by the student of the university-organizer of the Olympiad.

So, despite the temporary evacuation of the University, the Department of Social Pedagogy remains the leader of social and pedagogical education and science in Ukraine, since it has a powerful scientific school under the guidance of the Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Serhii Kharchenko. Students majoring in “Social Pedagogy” under the guidance of teachers continue to demonstrate high results of scientific work, glorifying the name of the native Alma Mater.
