Presentation of the book

Teachers and students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​visited the presentation of Liudmyla Ovdienko’s book “My train passed, flew…”.

Young people of the Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​take an active part in the spiritual and cultural life of Poltava. The future philologists recently became guests of the literary drawing room of the Poltava Regional Universal Library named after I.P. Kotlyarevsky at the presentation of the book by Lyudmila Ovdienko “My train passed, flew …”.

The collection “My train passed, flew …”, unfortunately, was the last result of the creative and life path of the author, our countrywoman, who left this world in 2015.

Liudmyla Ovdienko is a Ukrainian poet, novelist, journalist, member of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine and the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine, as well as the International Association of Writers and Publicists, the author of many poetry collections, and a winner of several literary prizes.

In the new book “My train passed, flew …” came original poetic lyrics, as still unpublished, and already loved by the reader. The second part of the book is a memory wreath from memoirs and statements about the work of the poetess of famous writers, literary critics, scientists, statesmen, artists.

The reader has the opportunity to enjoy the combination of a poetic word with the art of photography. Poetic lines are illustrated with photographs of the author’s husband, the famous photo artist Konstantin Bobrishchev. The review of the Poltava regional organization of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine notes that “the aesthetics of Liudmyla Ovdienko’s writing is due to the harmony of thought and speech, her work carries social knowledge and spiritual catharsis to the reader.”

Employees of the Poltava Regional Library always gladly invite teachers and students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University to their events, noting their intelligence, creative activity and sincere openness to the perception of the cultural heritage of the Poltava region.
