Participation in the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad

The master student of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports took part in the II stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in the specialty 014 “Secondary Education (Physical Culture)”.

In accordance with the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine from 06.12.2017 № 1572 “On the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in the academic year 2017-2018” on the basis of the National University of Physical Education and Sports of Ukraine in Kyiv on April 4-6, 2018 was the II stage All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in the specialty 014 “Secondary Education” (Physical Culture).

The slogan of the Olympiad: “Acquire new knowledge whilst thinking over the old, and you may become a teacher of others” (Confucius). The Olympiad helped to broaden the abilities and talents of the best students from 29 higher educational institutions of Ukraine.

The program of the Olympiad provided for such competitive tasks:

• The practical task “The differentiated approach at lessons of physical training”.
• Testing theoretical knowledge on the theory and methods of physical education, knowledge of the basics of the methodology for the development of physical qualities of schoolchildren.
• The theoretical task in the form of a round table “Ways of patriotic education of schoolchildren by means of physical culture”.

Participation in subject Olympiads is an important component of the educational process. The first-year master student majoring in “Secondary Education” (Physical Culture) Dmytro Pelypas (the scientific adviser is Associate Professor O.V. Otarenko) defended the honor of our University.

A total of 72 students took part in the Olympiads, where 7 prize places and 10 nominations were distributed. So Dmytro entered the top 15 best students of Ukraine and was awarded with a diploma of the Ministry of Education of Ukraine in the nomination of the practical task “For a creative approach to solving health problems in physical education classes.”

The directorate of the Institute and teachers of the Department of Theory and Methods of Physical Education express sincere gratitude to the organizers of the Olympiad; wish Dmytro success in science and new achievements!
