Presentation of diplomas

The presentation of diplomas to Master’s graduates was held at the Faculty of Foreign Languages.

Not only 79 graduates, but also their parents, teachers, students of junior courses gathered at the assembly hall of Poltava University of Economics and Trade. There were words of gratitude from the newly masters for the invaluable experience acquired at the University, the wishes of success on the thorny professional path from the teachers …

The Dean of the Faculty, Honorary Professor of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University Ivan Karpenko made a dedication to the Masters in accordance with a long tradition of European universities. His speech was half-serious and half-joking, semi-official and friendly.

“Remember,” he said, “that there are a lot of educated people, but few are intelligent. And it is not always the number of years spent at the desk turns into the quality of mind and culture. Learn all your life, and let the sense of superiority and self-satisfaction from the received education never penetrate your souls. “

The entire hall stood greeting the new masters for the sound of the anthem of the Luhansk National University.

Then a festive concert was held, prepared for the graduates by their younger comrades.

Bright performances simply lit the hall – there were always a lot of talented young men and women at the Foreign Languages Department. For example, eastern belly dance performed by Valeria Borovska, the second-year student, was especially liked by the children from Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan. Lyrical songs in Japanese and English by Iryna Taran (accompanied by Maria Kirichenko on piano) touched all spectators to tears. Surprisingly active participants of the concert were our foreign students from Turkmenistan, especially girls.

Photographing alumni for memory in the hall and on the street was accompanied by sincere embraces, the traditional flipping of the master’s caps in the air and with a joyous, unanimous greeting: “Long live LTSNU!”
