Easter Pysanka

Students and teachers of the Department of Physical Rehabilitation and Human Health of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports conducted a master class “Easter Pysanka”.

On the eve of the Easter Holiday, students and teachers of the Physical Rehabilitation and Human Health Department of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports conducted a master class “Easter Pysanka”.

Pysanka is a small miracle! Since ancient times, the egg was considered a symbol of the spring awakening of nature, the birth of life and the continuation of the genus. Drawing Easter eggs filled with deep meaning is a tradition that unites us with ancestors. Each symbol depicted on the pysanka means something. For example, one symbol means welfare, others – family comfort, the birth of a child or a good harvest. All Easter eggs are created with the wishes of good and with a pure soul; they are a kind of amulet in the house.

History and traditions were key to the master class. The students and teachers of the Department were presented three classic techniques of painting Easter eggs: krashenkas, pysankas and cappens, as well as the most common modern ways of decorating wooden eggs. The event was held in a warm, relaxed atmosphere. And even if not everything turned out right away, small failures did not upset the participants who received a huge charge of positive mood.

The Department of Physical Rehabilitation and Human Health of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports congratulates all students, teachers and employees of the LTSNU on the coming holiday and wishes good, peace and inspiration!
