Ten Year Anniversary: Assessment of Achievements and Further Developments

Teachers of the Department of Oriental Languages Fedicheva N.V. and Gorbunyova S.O. participated in the 10th International Scientific and Practical Conference “Ten Year Anniversary: Assessment of Achievements and Further Developments”
The conference was devoted to Ukrainian-Japanese relations, achievements in the study of Japanese language, literature and culture in Ukraine. A conference was held at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
The conference was attended by Mr Hoshino Yuichi, second secretary of the Japanese Embassy in Ukraine, Oohashi Yukhihiro, Japanese language professor at the Department of Asian Studies at the Humanities Faculty of the University of Latvia, prof. Bondarenko Ivan Petrovich, Head of the Department of Languages and Literature of the Far East and Southeast Asia Institute of Philology as well as university instructors and students from Ukrainian universities.
After the plenary session, the participants worked in sections where they spoke on topics related to the study of Japanese language, literature and teaching methods of Japanese. Teacher of the Japanese language of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University Sofia Gorbunyova delivered a speech “Discussion as a method of activating students in the Japanese language classroom”.
