Author’s vision

LTSNU hosted a multimedia collage – “Endless Journey, or Aeneid.”

The genre of this project is defined not as a reading or a presentation, but as a multimedia collage with elements of a lecture, concert and banquet. Yurii Andrukhovych read his own poems and fragments of the essay, which resonates with the poem of Ivan Kotliarevsky, as well as excerpts from the “Aeneid” itself. Mark Tokar and Viktor Novozhylov voiced the “Endless Journey” in real time with baroque music and sharp bit electronics. Olga Mykhailiuk, who is the director of the project, and the “CUBE” VJ group created visualizations based on the photos of modern Poltava, illustrations of “Aeneid” of different years, and author’s animation.

Ivan Kotliarevsky wrote “Aeneid” for 26 years. The creative group of multimedia collage has been working almost for a year. The project, as a living entity, is constantly changing and improving. Humorous poetry and the comic effect in the play is achieved by the fact that the heroic content is set forth intentionally, rudely, by the fact that the everyday is spoken of sublime. The authors touched on profound existential questions with the help of “expressive burlesque”.

The artistic event, which took place at our educational institution, all the audience, allowed to touch contemporary art and to delve into their own inner world.
