Second Futsal League

During the week, 15 male and 7 female futsal teams participated in competitions dedicated to the foundation day of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

For the first time the men’s teams were divided into two leagues. Eight teams, according to the draw, created two subgroups in which, according to the circular scheme of the games, two best teams were determined. In the finals, they should determine the owner of the Rectorate Cup.

In the “A” group, the main struggle was turned between the teams of the LTSNU College (CLNU) and Starobilsk Humanitarian and Pedagogical College (SHPC). By the way, the greatest representation of the teams in these competitions was from the College of the University – there were four teams. It cannot be otherwise, because there is a specialty “Physical education” in the College, and these students must improve their sport skills during the competitions.

In the first two matches, the team of CLNU confidently defeated the teams of RCVE and ICSTT-2 with the score of 5:1 and 6:0. Their main rival SHPC also played with these teams without losses with the score of 6:1 and 2:0.

The teams of these two Colleges played a draw 3:3 despite the fact that two teachers Evgen Reshetilo and Andrii Nosal played for the SHPC. This draw arranged both teams and they were in the final four.

In the group “B”, the futsal players of ICSTT-3 demonstrated a 100% result. There were three games and three wins.  The second place was taken by the team of FNS-2 with two victories.

In the finals, the first to play was CLNU-3 against FNS-2. The College players were more active during the game, which ended with a score of 4: 1 in favor of CLNU-3.

In the second semifinal match, ICSTT-3 played against SHPC, and ICSTT-3 won with a score of 2: 1.

In the struggle for third place, FNS-2 and SHPC played. Thanking to the efforts of teachers Evgen Reshetilo and Andrii Nosal, who scored three goals, Starobilsk Humanitarian and Pedagogical College won with a score of 3:2.

The final match in this league, especially its first half, was very interesting. The team of CLNU-3 became the owner of the Memorable Cup of the University Administration. The second place was taken by futsal players of ICSTT-3, and the third were the team of SHPC. The best scorer was Oleksandr Trokai. Andrii Marchenko was recognized as the best player.
