Shevchenko Days in the College of LTSNU

Within the framework of the Shevchenko Days, a number of events were held at the College of LTSNU aimed at honoring the memory of the great son of the Ukrainian people.

On March 13, II year student majoring in “Hotel and Restaurant Business” Valeria Chepiga took part in the XI All-Ukrainian Student Scientific and Practical Conference “Creativity of Taras Shevchenko in the Context of the Epoch”. She presented an article on “Visions of the future in the poetry of Taras Shevchenko”. An electronic collection will be published based on the materials of the conference.

On March 14, college students became participants of the event dedicated to the 204th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko’s birth, having opened the festive program with a dramatization “Childhood of Taras”. The best were the roles played by Serhii Serhienko, Maryna Melezhik, Aliona Khvorostian, Ksenia Oleinik, Valeria Chepiga, and Anna Kosiak. During the event, the participants of the contests, which took place during the week, were awarded.

The work by Volodymyr Reshetnik, second-year student majoring in “Secondary Education” (Physical Education), took the third place in the contest of illustrations for Taras Shevchenko’s works.

On March 16, the first-year students took part in a literary quiz dedicated to the 204th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko’s birthday. Competitions were held between the two teams “Viktoria” and “Verbychenka”. During the competition program, students learned about interesting facts related to the life and work of the Kobzar, recited poems by Taras Shevchenko. Victory was won by the team “Viktoria”.
