Interview with honorary guests

The honorary guests of the IX International Exhibition “Modern Educational Institutions – 2018” told about the scientific event.

“Modern educational institutions” is the International Exhibition, which annually unites scientists in search of effective ways of improving the quality of education and facilitating the establishment of business contacts, is the key to further cooperation. This year, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University took part in the exhibition, where it was awarded with gold medals and the title of “Leader of International Activities”.

The exhibition was attended by the honored guests; among them was the People’s Deputy of Ukraine, the Chairman of the Supervisory Council of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University Vitalii Semenovych Kurylo; the President of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, the Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Vasyl Hryhorovych Kremen and the Director of the Education and Science Department of the Luhansk Regional State Administration Yurii Viktorovych Stetsiuk.

The President of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine Vasyl Kremen told about the role of the exhibition for the scientific community:

• Vasyl Hryhorovych, what is the main goal of the International Exhibition for teachers?

The main goal of the exhibition is to attract the attention of society and the state to the significance of this event, as well as to enable the best educational institutions to demonstrate their experience and share this experience with others.

• How important, in your opinion, is the participation of displaced educational institutions in similar activities?

The displaced educational institutions have difficulties with participation in exhibitions. Thank you, firstly, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, for patriotism. We need to involve the evacuated universities to participate in similar scientific events and support them.

The chairman of the Supervisory Council of LTSNU Vitalii Kurylo told about the advantages of the exhibitors.

• Vitalii Semenovych, in your opinion, what are the advantages for exhibitors, and in particular for displaced high schools in the Luhansk region?

First, it is advertising. Today, universities need advertising; they need to be aware of them, because many school leavers have a lot of opportunities in Ukraine and abroad. That is why it is necessary to represent the University, to show the best examples of work. Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University participated in the exhibition “International Higher Education Institutions” for nine times.  But overall such exhibitions have existed since the mid-1990s and our University participated in all the exhibitions, has many awards and prizes. Thanks to this, we are known not only in Ukraine, but also in Europe and the world. Therefore, I recommend to participate in such events in the future.

• What would you wish your native University?

I am sure that Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University will have the highest award in any of the nominations at this exhibition, because the University knows how to present itself, and I wish the staff new students, new specialties, and forward movement.

The Director of the Education and Science Department of the Luhansk Regional State Administration Yurii Viktorovych Stetsiuk has arrived with a working visit to the exhibition “International Educational Institutions – 2018”.

• Yurii Viktorovich, did you come with a working visit to support the Luhansk region?

Yes. Today Luhansk region was represented with dignity. It is nice that Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, the Institute of Postgraduate Education, and the East Ukrainian Volodymyr Dahl National University received awards.

• What would you wish those institutions that stayed aside and did not take part in the event?

I want to wish that in the future they were not afraid and took part in the exhibition, because this is an opportunity to exchange experiences, to draw for themselves something new and present either a higher education or a pre-school educational institution.

The scale and results of the IX International Exhibition “Modern Educational Institutions – 2018” was told by the Deputy Director of the company “Exhibition World” Lesia Kharytonova.

• How many exhibitors this year?

This year 758 participants from 25 regions and 12 countries of the world took part in the exhibition.

• Is the number of international participants increasing with the years?

The number increases, in addition, the participating countries change. This year, for the first time, educational institutions of Spain took part.

• This is the IX International Exhibition. Next year it will be the X, we can say, anniversary. What is planned to do?

I will not disclose it, but I think it will be interesting for our participants to see what is new.

• Lesia, what would you wish the staff of Luhansk National University? What do you expect from the University next year?

We are glad that LTSNU cooperates with us, especially if we take into account the conditions that have developed in Luhansk. We are waiting for you next year and we want new victories.

The International Exhibition “Modern Educational Establishments – 2018” is a great scientific event, participation in which is a symbol of the development of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.
