Presentation of the book “Figures of White Rain”
16.3.2018
Students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages visited the presentation of the book “Figures of White Rain” by the Kyiv writer.
The Faculty of Foreign Languages maintains friendly relations with the Regional Library named after I. P. Kotliarevskyi. Therefore it is not surprising that the presentation of the book by the Kyiv writer Aliona Romanova was the first to call the students of our Faculty.
This time the second book of the writer was presented. The title “Figures of White Rain” reflects the philosophical reflections of A. Romanova, her feelings and love of winter snow – “white rain.” The writer herself calls her book alchemical and philosophical, and herself – an expert and experimenter of heuristic cognition.
The book consists of two sections: “film scenes” and poems. During the presentation, A. Romanova read both sketches and poems, told about her feelings, about her inspiration for a particular work, about work that is not connected with writing. Aliona Romanova is a sports journalist and film director.
The students listened to the writer with pleasure, asked her questions and expressed their opinions. Our students have already attended the presentation of A. Romanova’s first book, so they were very glad to see her creativity.
