13.3.2018
On March 13, 2018, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University hosted the All-Ukrainian Student Scientific and Practical Conference “Creativity of Taras Shevchenko in the Context of the Epoch.”
The participants of the conference worked on the problems “Tradition and innovation in the works of Taras Shevchenko”, “Visual world of Taras Shevchenko”, “Shevchenko motives in the works of Ukrainian writers.” The conference was attended by students and master students of Zaporizhzhya National University, Lysychansk Pedagogical College, Starobilsk Humanitarian and Pedagogical College, Kadiivka Pedagogical College, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.
The participants of the conference rethought the figure of Taras Shevchenko and his legacy from the positions of today.
One should highlight the following researches: “Ivan Mazepa in the reception of Roman Ivanychuk: visions dialogue” by Anastasia Gorban, “Customs and traditions of the Ukrainian people in the works of Taras Shevchenko for children” by Alina Sukhorutchenko, “Visions of the future of Ukraine in Taras Shevchenko’s poetry” by Valeria Chepiga, “Figure of Taras Shevchenko in the context of Maidan culture” by Denis Smirnov,” Elements of fairy-tale in the works of Taras Shevchenko” by Natalia Vetrova and others.
Young scientists identified conceptual problems in the works of Taras Shevchenko, which should encourage young people to rethink our spiritual heritage, the creation of new cultural values and promote them among the world community. The artist built a system of social, spiritual, moral and ethical values. He can be considered a national ideologist who described the concept of the state, which should constitute the spiritual basis of the national organism, to give it the state essence. Taras Shevchenko is not only a key figure for Ukrainian literature, but also for the history of the national state tradition.
